P157 Introduction to MySQL Database Development with MySQL Workbench

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

In this session, users new to MySQL will learn how MySQL Workbench can help in their database development and maintenance activities. Starting with a primer on database modeling, they will learn how to incrementally create a high-level representation of the different entities in their application and the relationships that connect them. This can be automatically turned into a MySQL database with tables and foreign keys, ready to be accessed by your application code. The attendees will also learn how to perform common SQL development tasks on an existing database: browsing database objects; viewing and altering their definitions; writing SQL queries; viewing, editing, exporting and importing table data; performing backups; and more.
