Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

A little known feature that arrived in Oracle 11g Release 2 was the "clone db" function. This incredibly powerful utility allows an unlimited number of databases to be run all from a common set of database files, each tracking their own unique changes. This session will discuss the prereqisites for clone db, the direct NFS feature in Oracle, and how clone db successfully allowed a client to dramatically reduce their storage costs for Development and Testing databases.
