Many developers find it hard to develop RAC aware applications. Oracle offers a wealth of tools for this exact purpose. This talk introduces the audience to HA technologies beginning with Transparent Application Failover over to Fast Connection Failover and finally Application Continuity which is new with 12c RAC. Each technology is explained in-depth along with a working example written in Java. Where applicable these examples will make use of the connection pool (UCP) and the Run Time Load Balancing advisory (and we will dump the contents of the Fast Application Notification Events at the same time)
